Experiencing Hell: Encouragement is Necessary in My Daily Life
Day in, day out – life around me really gives a true picture as to what experiencing hell must be like. Rude, disingenuous people; to-do lists commanding my attention; never-ending bills to pay ? These are just a few of the things I’ve grown tolerant to in my existence. Just saying these things makes me want to crawl up under my blanket with some chocolate and a depressing movie.
Constantly feeling like I must ask God for peace is what comes from me being chained to these burdens..to let me get just a small taste of heaven, here on Earth, instead of the pits of Satan. Except when I ask – for that little teeny feeling of what it feels like in His Kingdom – I’m not associating my part in experiencing such a serenity. And make no mistake, I do have a part.
He says in the Bible to love each other; to provide encouragement by pushing one another to do good things. Humph? Nope!! Don’t like to think about what I’ve done (or haven’t done) to lessen the heat around me.
Ok then, so how can I encourage people? Well, I’ve been thinking that over! My conclusion is, that ways I can be an encouragement to people is..well, however I want. I mean, there’s no requirements as to what steps to take.
Those I care for, man, some of them are really going through some hurtful times. So, my prayer is: that God would give me a willingness to be the encouragement they need – to anyone! (I’m pretty sure that’s everyone.) And I pray I’d be consistent in the willingness. Not just a one-time deal. “Whew! That’s over with. Check.”
So, if anyone would like to be an encouragement for this girl..maybe you’d join me in that prayer? Trust me, I can use it!
I also pray that when these opportunities present themselves, I’d be obedient to His prompting and reach out to those He puts before me. In Jesus Name. ??
Please comment on ways that you could use some encouragement too! I’d love to pray for you.
“Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other just as Christ has accepted you so that God will be given glory.” Romans 15:6-7
