Experiencing Hell

Experiencing Hell: Encouragement is Necessary in This Life

Day in, day out – life goes on around me, really allowing me a peek at what the experience of hell must actually be like: rude, disingenuous people; to-do lists commanding my every move, never-ending bills due. It’s only a few of the things that I’ve grown a tolerance for, in my existence. And just saying them, I want to crawl under a blanket, with some chocolate in hand, to watch a depressing movie.

I constantly feel like I’m asking God for peace, just from all the burdens. And asking Him to let me taste only a small bite of heaven, right here on Earth. How refreshing it’d be, instead of choking down the pits of hell each day. Except for, that one thing..when I’m asking God to experience His Kingdom, I don’t really tend to associate what my piece in it is. What I can do, in order to obtain that serenity…Make no mistake, though. I do have a piece in it!

Heaven and Hell

The truth is, we’re meant to show each other love, by: providing encouragement, pushing one another to do good things. Grr…No, thanks – right? Who needs that?! I sure don’t want to think of all I have, or haven’t done, to step out of the pits and into His glory.

Ok, then how am I going to be an encouragement to others? Well, I’ve given this some thought! My conclusion is that, I can be an encouragement to people..well, however I want. Huh? I mean, there’s no requirement for what steps need to be taken!

The people I care for, man – some of them are really going through pretty hurtful things. So my prayer is to be willing to encourage them – anyone! (I’m pretty sure that He wants me to give it to everyone.) I also pray, I’ll be consistently willing. Not just doing a one-time deal kind of thing. “Whew! That’s over with. Check.”

So, if anyone would like to be an encouragement for this girl..hello! hi, yes me..maybe you’d join me in this prayer? Trust me, I really could use it!

Another thing I pray for is when these opportunities present themselves, I’d be obedient to His prompting, and reach out to those He’s putting before me.

In Jesus Name. Amen.

Please comment on the ways you could use some encouragement! I’d love to pray for you.

“Then all of you can join together with one voice, giving praise and glory to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, accept each other, just as Christ accepts you so God will be given the glory.” Romans 15:6-7
